Molly's Introduction (Blog Post 5)

My name is Molly and I am the editor/ member of the camera department for Agua.

When I first heard of the idea, I thought it was very experimental and a lovely way to merge the art of dance and experimental film. Darleen told us a bit about what it's like speaking more than one language and how hard it would be for someone who doesn't speak English to come here and be scrutinised for it. I love the idea that we would be physically representing someone's thought process through the form of dance as it's such a beautiful and expressive medium.

I'm excited to work closely with Kelsey as editor as I feel that we are good at communicating our ideas with each other, while also being open to new ideas that may arise. Playing around with the colour grade during the "dream" sequence will also be fun as colour grading is something I enjoy a lot. Furthermore, I'm looking forward to working with Darleen and the other members of the camera team as this module will really help bring out everyone's experimentally creative side.
